I turned the annoying phone spam callers into a source of information. Here are the results of my phone survey questions...
What's the story?
I used to get annoyed by interruptions from random phone callers trying to scam me out of my money. I have my home phone and business phone ring at my desk so I get many of these calls.
I do not like to ignore the phone and I do not have the time to check the caller id before I answer.
One day I had a question on my mind when the phone rang so I asked the caller. It then dawned on me that I could take advantage of the situation and use the callers as subjects for surveys.
I started asking various questions - whatever popped into my head at the time - and writing the answers on a pad next to the phone. Later I began to focus on a few questions.
The answers have been accumulating on my desk and on scraps of paper next to my home phones.
Finally I have decided to organize it some by posting it all here.
